Head First Pass To Knee Cut, Head First Pass To Crowbar

2 Part Series – The Head First Pass is a very good way to overwhelming your opponent from the Butterfly Guard because it’s extremely difficult to sweep you or push you away as you are anchored on their shoulder. Upon landing in the Butterfly Guard waste no time in anchoring onto your opponents shoulder and driving forward off of your toes. Pop their knee with your left hand and make sure to get a good strong hook with your left foot. Bring your right knee to your right elbow and start cutting it to the left either in front or over their thigh. If their leg won’t budge, use your right foot as a crowbar to wedge against their lower thigh and quickly turn your knee to the left for the pass.
